York Theatre Wire Writers Choose Ten Best Shows of 2006-2007 Season
New York Theatre Wire has once again asked its theater reviewers to choose
their top ten shows, seen between May 1, 2006 and May 1, 2007, On, Off and
Off-Off Broadway. Their choices were based on artistic merit alone. As in
the past, our reviewers selected a wide variety of productions, from musical
theater works to serious dramas.

Awards
This year's Tony Awards were officially announced at the 61st annual
Tony Awards presentation on Sunday, June 10, 2007 airing on CBS from New York
City's Radio City Music Hall. Broadway winners this year included Spring Awakening
and The Coast of Utopia.
List of winners of 2007 Obie
Awards
The 52nd Annual Village Voice Obie Awards were presented on May 21
at a ceremony hosted by Cynthia Nixon and T.R. Knight at the Skirball Center
for the Performing Arts on the campus of New York University.

Theatre World Award Winners Announced
On Tuesday, June 5, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m Theatre World will present
the Theatre World Award winners for Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut
performances during the 2006-2007 theatrical season.
